12v Power Chair Battery?
I know some of you guys run the power chair batteries for your 12v accesories. Why is this? Is it because of the smaller size/weight? From what I can find, they are just as expensive, or more expensive than just a regular deep cycle/marine 12 v battery.
Just curious. |

Re: 12v Power Chair Battery?
I use a handicap scooter battery from my personal transportation scooter because its readibly available. This worked out well for both size and weight. Also originaly I put mine in Club Car glove box and later was happy that I had picked it because when I mounted it over the top of front suspension above Bumper little change was needed to body.

OLD MEC, i did a similar thing to you, upon your advice and posts. I have to say SKM2006 its a great idea and it works fantastically. Mounted mine under the seat in the battery compartment on a tray i made.

Re: 12v Power Chair Battery?
Got mine from northern tool but OLD MEC suggests a local handicapped scooter shop. Mine does not have the ah capacity that OLD MEC has. I have 45 ah but its good enough for what i need. They re small enough to hide away.
