Default My 99 EZGO rustbucket.......restoration

Never judge a book by its cover.....

Well....I knew my cart had some frame/rust issues when I bought it . But I had no idea it would be this bad . The outer , as well as inner parts of the sub frame are completely rusted through all the way up to the front outer supports .

I have a lot of work to do here . I will be updating my progress throughout with pics .

Here are a few for starters.....

Thank god this cart had so many positives.....if not I would have rolled it out back and set it on fire .

I'm looking forward to the project as this one allows me to pretty much use the full array of my toys (tools) to get the job accomplished! Plus I havent had anything to tinker with since I sold my Mustang back in january .

Man-oh-Man...I have to tell you what my approach to this would be....I'd be looking at junk carts at as many dealers that are in my area for another frame, prefferably with a whole lot less damage.....

I recall one dealer in the area that had stacks of carts in the back of his lot......

Krylon Fusion is the greatest plastic paint.

Man, have you ever got a project. I have only seen one other cart that rusty but, we don't see that much rust in the SW.

Keep us posted on your progress

I have considered this option . But I have access to all the steel I want for free and I have plenty of welding wire so fixing it will cost me nothing but my time . It will be a heck of a challenge.....but I'm ready .
