Battery & Accessory connections
Hi All,
Just purchased a Model Year: 1996 Make/Model: Electric TXT Golf Car (DCS) With a Battery Missing. Have purchased the battery but there are 5 cables and aside from white to positive I do not know where to connect the other 4 cables. 1 white medium grade -> Positive terminal 2 Heavy Black -> ?? 2 Light duty Black -> ?? I had to remove the front batttery to get to the back one to replace it and have yet to put them back, However you can see the "eyelets" of the 5 cables. So assuming Pos will be on the Right where would these go? Can someone plase help with this? Thank you |

Re: Battery & Accessory connections
I had tried those before posting, they reference the 2001 and later models.
The diagrams did not seem to look like mine. They mostly show only 3 connections at the Base terminals where I have 5. Would they also apply to my 1996 Model ? if so where do you think the extra 2 wires should go POS or NEG? Was hoping to find an answer in one of these manuals but cannot seem to find them anywhere. 1996 Technician's Service and Repair Manual for TXT and DCS Vehicles #28292G01 OR 1996 Service Parts manual for TXT Electric DCS Vehicles #28287G01 |

Re: Battery & Accessory connections
You should have a pos. and neg. from the charger recepticle. Where are the lights run?, If you have a fuse panel in the cart that should have a pos. and neg. for it also .The others should come from your controller(under the cover on the passenger side) .I am not an expert ,maybe someone else will ring in. If you can't fiqure it out ,get ahold of Scottyb,he has helped me out numerous times...

Re: Battery & Accessory connections
Ok, Finally got hold of the Buggy Tech that maintains these for a local Golf Course. Apparently the EZGO Carts have kept the same design from 1994 - 2010, with that little tidbit of information I was able to use electrical diagram from the 2001 Service Manual provided here earlier to resolve this issue.
Thank you for all your help. |
