Default Scratched Platic body

I can't seem to find the best way to remove or buff out the scratches on my 96 E-Z . I want to paint it. Is there a secret?

Since you are going to paint, ruff up the area with fine sand paper, use automotive body filler (the red stuff in the tube) to fill the scratches, then sand, then prime the whole body with a plastic specailty primer, sand it, add more filler if necessary, sand, prime it again, sand and you're ready for paint. If the scratches are not "in" the plastic, just on top, a couple of coats of primer should cover them. Painting plastic takes a lot of prep work, but it will be worth it in the end. (I used this method on my old Honda CBR plastics and it came out great)

Good Luck and post pictures....Welcome to BGW.

That's the stuff, several companies meke it: also called spot putty, and all Auto zone, Pep boys, O'riely, etc carry it.
