Default Marathon Lights dimming when accelerating

In my 89 Marathon whenever i accelerate, the street glow, the headlights, and the taillights all dim until full acceleration. Any ideas on what's causing this?
thanks

are the lights all hooked to the same 2 batteries? If so, try clipping your test leads to the 2 batteries that the lights are hooked to and take it for a ride, then clip them to 2 other batteries in series and take it for a ride, there will likely be a difference in load voltage between those 2 readings..... probably a fairly large difference.....

I had this problem last night, My case I found my positive on the 1st battery in series, Thus running off of only 6 volts, switched it to the 2nd battery in series and no more Dimming

Mine is Grounded to the frame with a jumper wire coming from 2nd neg in series

Sounds like your Problem is different than mine though

( NEVER ground to the frame on an electric cart, ALL grounds go to the battery post )
