Which batteries to buy?????
I'm looking to buy batteries for out 2003 EZGO, should I spend the extra $ on Trojan's or can I get good performance and life out of other batteries?? It's a big decision and I want to get it right. Thanks for any and all opinions.

Re: Which batteries to buy?????
Do a search here for batteries, which batteries, battery brand, etc... and you will find DAYS worth of reading...enough to make your head spin. Lots of good info.
In a nutshell, I think US Battery, Trojan or Crown would be good choices. Some people here have had good luck with the cheapies... Just make sure you break them in right and maintain them. |

Re: Which batteries to buy?????
Well, I'm supposed to order some tomorrow so i can't read all the info. I've got a quote for t-105's of 720$ total. Seems like a good price. I see some other local ads for 480$ for no name batteries. I'm worried with those you'd get what u pay for? Seems like I'd be taking a chance with others but would be getting a proven battery with the Trojan.

Re: Which batteries to buy?????
I've bought batteries at Sams club, for my 91 ez go, they are manufactured by Johnson controls, I also bought a set of of Us 2200, the Sams club ones where $420 the us 2200 where $540, I really can't tell a difference driving around the hood, it really comes down to taking care and mantience of the batteries

Shop around, there's a local guy in my neck of the woods, that sells US Batteries - delivered to your door for $500.00/6-pak with your cores.

Re: Which batteries to buy?????
From what I understand, Crown is a pretty "high end" battery, sounds like a good deal...

I can get those or Interstates for the same price. The crowns sound like the better deal to me.

I think you'll get a bunch of different opinions. If you're in a hurry, that $720 for 6 Trojans sounds good. I paid more than that. I've only had mine for a couple weeks, but so far, so good. Just break them in properly and take good care of them.
