Colt, here is a picture of a stock solenoid wired up.

The Yellow and Blue wires go to the small terminals, the Red wire goes to the Battery side main solenoid terminal.

If the higher ampacity solenoid is wired the same as stock like Scotty says, this is the way it ought to be wired.

To the EZGO Guru's out there - Please correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct about the solenoid, the wiring diagram at alltrax shows it this way as well.

Okay, I believe I have it figured out. My diode is marked red and black no with a silver band like some. So I assume red goes toward the yellow and black towards the blue.

All diodes have a stripe. Can you post a picture of yours.

So there was nothing wrong with the first one you conned Altrax into replacing for free? WOW!

I didn't con nobody. I sent it in. They had engineers look at it and deemed it was a bad controller. I never spoke to them. Just mailed it in. Scotty, it's the diode you sent me.

Okay I now see the silver stripe. Sorry didn't pay close attention. That goes on the same terminal as the yellow wire correct and the side without a stripe goes toward the small terminal with the blue wire?

Yes the stripe end goes toward the positive side of the activation circuit.
Blue is negative.

Okay Scotty. I appreciate it buddy! I'll give it another shot and see whats going on. I believe you said to make my F1 and F2 cables out of 8ga wire? Am I looking for a high strand count with these or low like the factor ones? Or does it not matter? Also I am going to shoot you a PM about programming. Thanks for all of your help!
