As you hear each solenoid (#2-5) click, it should be like shifting a gear each time......

There is a bar across all soleinods that bolt on each one if your facing the cart the far left one is detached from the bar

there you go that buss bar has to be attached..........make sure its clean and attach it see what happens no wait a miute far left?? the one without the resistor coil?? thats not gonna effect speed but if it needs attached than yes attach it................................................ ......

Four solenoids connect to coil, one does not . . . all 5 solenoids connect to buss bar . . .

if your standing in front of the cart looking towards back the master solenoid should be the one furthest left on drivers side......than the one next to it is 1st speed and so on over to right side....what i mean is they run left to right.......regardless buss bar should be attached to all of them so if its not attached to one of the speed solenoids your breaking the circuit and losing those speeds............................................ ..
