Will a voltage reducer continue to draw power even when none of the 12volt accessories are being used? If so, can I install an interrupter/switch on the positive lead from the batts to the reducer?

Thanks! Do you think it's normal if the reducer is left connected that after a weeks time the batteries would be discharged? Keep in mind the cart is left covered outdoors.

Only would if accessories are on. There is a draw but it is small. So, it shouldn't kill them.

seems as though the op problem would be easier to do if an aux 12v battery was installed in the bag well.

True except that is another charger u would need to keep it charged.
