Default smells like burning rubber

I've noticed a faint smell of burning rubber on my 99 Club Car (electric) Near as I can tell there aren't any belts that could be slipping, nothing rubbing the tires either. What should I be looking for?

Something is getting hot and I would prioritize finding out what it is! Be very careful, but quickly touch the connections for all the heavy cables, after the smell occurs. What is a bad connection will be very hot. Once you find it put your tow - run switch to the tow position, disconnect your battery pack, and clean ( to bright metal ) the bad connection. Actually, since you have gone this far, take them all off one at a time and clean them.
Every few months, that's pretty much normal maintenance on electric carts anyway!

if you are in the habit of using the gas pedal to hold the cart still on a hill.. (called locked rotor ) you could be heating up your motor..........hense smell
