Heavy Duty Rearend

I need to bring this back up to the top. Here I am 18 months later with the heavy duty rear end installed. Guess what. It started making the noise again. The back passenger wheel bearing is spinning in the axle tube. I couldn't believe it. I took it apart and put some Loctite bearing lock on it. That stopped it for now. But I am guessing it will be back in a few months. That's what fall end in the old rear end. Any ideas?

I am thinking about drilling 3 small holes on the axle tube to the bearing. Then welding inside the hole to the bearing. I'm thinking that might hold the bearing in place. Thoughts?

I have used the "clicker punch" (you push, it clicks & makes mark) to make punch-marks all the way around the inside of bearings "home". I started with 4 (at 90° spacing), test-fit, still not tight as i wanted, did 4 more, test fit, did 4 more, perfect. You should start with few, then add more if necessary. Bic lighter included for scale.

Yes. I tried that on my last rear end. The stock rear end. I used that punch and marred up the inside of the axle tube along with the Loctite. It held for a while.

Do you think my welding idea would be better or worse?

Drill a small hole in the axle tube where the bearing sits in the tube, and weld a nut on the axle tube over the hole and put a screw/bolt in to hold the bearing from spinning

If you weld it, it's going to be a bitch to get apart if some goes bad

Yes. I know and I agree. I am going to install a new bearing on both sides when I weld it. The only reason to ever pull it apart would be the bearings or axle.

My wife told me to just buy a new rear end every two years. She loves the cart that much. So even in the future if I weld it and cant get it apart then I will buy a new rear end.
