Re: Lights, 16volt?
We've got an electric Club Car and used the a motorcycle battery for the radio (no amps and only 2 speakers so we're not pushing it) and tried using it for the lights as well. I wasn't a big fan of constantly needing to charge the motorcycle battery if someone forgot to turn the lights or the radio off. As a short term solution, we're running our lights off 1 of the 8v (may change it to 2 for brightness as the light kit came with an inline fuse so not much worry there). In my spare time, when I'm not in class or doing something school related, I've been coming up with a solution for an accessory 12v. I'm fabbing up a tray/frame and waiting on a marine fuse block. Lights, radio, and a couple more future accessories will be getting power from a group 24 deep cycle battery (with a marine charging outlet and a battery tender coming this winter or early next spring...I hate working on carts in high humidity/90+ degrees).
