I would roll on Herculiner from Oreilly auto. I am sure most auto part places have it. Just make sure the body is scuffed up real well...

Jakesnake,

Thanks, how do you think the roll own would work on a cart? Most of the spray can stuff is junk. I guess if I had a real thick matt roller I could just go crazy? In order for it to look correct to me it has to have the bumpy textured look. Maybe a gallon would work? I'm doing the top also.

Thanks,
Steve

The herculiner comes in a box kit.
It has a roller, some sandpaper, and a 1 gallon can.
I would think 1 gallon would be enough. They also sell quarts of it if you need more.
You can put on two coats to make it extra rugged, but one coat may be fine. It is really good quality.
I have never used the canned stuff.

jakesnake, thanks for the input, u got any pics of your cart? a batt question, what does in mean if one cell on a batt isn't bubbling like the rest when on a charger? also I don,t see much action in the cell on the desufultation mode? the charger will run cycle 12 hrs then shut off. one of the older 12 volt batts wont take a charge, any thoughts other than the obviuos replacememnt....

I have not actually used it on my cart, but I have on a couple of trucks. It has been a couple of years now and it is still like when I put it on and hasn't flaked. You just have to make sure you prep the surface well (scuffed with sandpaper).

Nothing at all!!! Tahoe Dawg!!! My vision may not concern other folks and may limit buyers. But I really don't care. As our buddy Bocephus sang, wer from North California, South Alabam. I'm a west coast neck living in GA and there really aint no difference! This build/sale is only for folks who would like the camo and bed liner black exterior, so it limits my buyers. Steve

I wish I could work on build carts for a living. My old batts are shot, went to local cart shop and load tested the after a week or more desufating/restoring them. They were charged but under a 200 amp load? They dropped to 8 volts in 10 seconds. I picked up some used late 09 12 volt that load tested good only dropped to 11 volts under same test for $ 25 ea. Put in cart and Wow, I like the Precedent! Pretty fast for stock cart and good torque. Going to start painting soon and flip cart to do what my orig plan was. Got $800 in it so far.
