Once you get the motor cleaned, take some pics of it where the cables attach, the FNR, and the controller. Also what size battery cables do you have?

hey PG, sorry if I sounded Flippent. I'm stupid.

When you say the motor is on the right side, is that the right side as in Passenger side or right side as looking at the cart from the front?

Everyones cart has the motor attach from the left. Unless the cart is really really old and it points straight back.

It pulls hill very good in reverse I was just wondering if the rear end could have been put back in wrong. The motor is sitting on the passengers side of the axle
LOL, back to basics. Yes your axle is in backwards. Clean it up and spin it 180. match the cables up as per available schematics and try again.

I don't know why I ran as far as I did in suggestions. **** Windsor!

Of course pictures would speak volumes.

2. It is different from any approx '86 and newer which is parallel to the axle but the motor points to the driver side as viewed from behind the cart.

This is based on a Marathon GX440/444 model.

what you have.....

The battery pack with a full charge that set for 12 hrs showed 38 volts. It's run. With 6 gauge wire between the batteries and 6 gauge to the motor. The motor is a ge 2800 rpm with 3 lugs on top one on bottom. Positive and negative on top along with what is wired as forward the bottom is wired as reverse. It is a series motor
