I think these frames are still aluminum as well. It might be from the spray of working to get the battery acid off. Color reaction of spraying neutralizer. There was some pretty nasty corrosion, but it should clean up. Some of it also appeared to be just the color of soil from where this thing was but not real sure. His frame looks a heck of a lot better than my 91 did when I started....

Checking out all the cool new parts he picked up yesterday, this thing is going to look awesome when complete!!!!

CartTrader
The frame is aluminum, it had some corrosion and alot of staining from the red clay dirt it was driven on, i neutralized and cleaned up the acid then wire wheeled the frame to clean it up, it looks quite a bit better now. Here is before and after pics

Well as he said my wheels and tires came in from the UPS man and I went to a local shop and picked up all new black trim to replace the broken up gray stuff. I also picked up folding window, mirror, new front hubs, smv sign, and a light kit.
I was not real happy when UPS showed up with my lift kit and instead of a lift kit I was shipped a battery tray for an ezgo now I have to wait for the vendor to straighten out my shipment.

Well finally I got the lift from ups and it was missing a spindle, contacted B.U. and after 2 weeks and a few phone calls all the parts are here. I started to tear down the front of the cart did a lot more cleanup and little painting. I have the lift partially installed and hope to finish tomorrow. I do have a question, Does anyone know how tight to tighten the upper a-arm bolts? It seems that as i am tightening them down the a-arm is getting very tight and not moving up and down freely at the pivot point. Here a a few pics of the progress so far.
