ezgo/txt year
Ihave a 2000? ezgo/txt(by the sn#)...I need a new steering box..the one on my cart looks exactly like one for a 2001 up..the one shown online(numerous) does not remotely resemble mine..WHAT GIVES?? Did some 2000 carts carts transition into the 2001 configuration???
my sn# shows to be 1536693..........the model # is k-402......any help greatly appreciated.. |

Your serial # and Mfr code come back as 2002 TXT Std 36v Electric.

I believe there was a problem with the some of the first 2001's and up when the changed the steering. I broke 3 racks (first one was my fault) I heard that EZGO came out with some longer leaf springs to correct the problem. I always thought my shocks were blown but i was told that the steering gear bottomed out in the rack assy, A dealer told me i could try to cut off .250 in. from the male spline gear. I have done that but have not driven it yet.
