After removing the dash to do some lights wiring. I found the original serial # and it was AQxxxx. But below the dash it has a new serial # that starts 7Axxx. I was a bit confused until Dave told me about the reman CC carts. I looked in the stickies and sure enough there was the serial #s that tells about the reman CC carts.
Billwmore... what magnet did you order? There are 2 types of magnets!! One for the GE motors and one for the ADC motors. They are NOT interchangeable!! The GE motor magnet is a bit harder to install. But when done you will get up to 19MPH (depending on conditions)with no loss of torque.

Batteries that are just a year old can be weak. If you let it sit for a year without charging and the tow/run switch on, even a good battery will go bad and be very weak forever, no mater how many times you charge it. Sulfated plates could be your problem. The ONLY way to find out, is to run a load test. Any good dealer can do this for you.

I bought the Club Car IQ High Speed Motor Magnet | DS/Precedent 48V Electric Golf Cart Sensor
Amazon.com: Club Car IQ High Speed Motor Magnet | DS/Precedent 48V Electric Golf Cart Sensor: Patio, Lawn & Garden Amazon.com: Club Car IQ High Speed Motor Magnet | DS/Precedent 48V Electric Golf Cart Sensor: Patio, Lawn & Garden
It says it fits the IQ with ADC motors only. I better check to make sure I have an ADC Motor.

You will pick up a bit if you put some bigger tires on. You will loose some torque though.

How can I tell which is a ADC or GE motor. Pull the back cover off and it doesn't say.

Usually the GE motor is grey and the adc is blackish.
On the ADC motor the speed sensor is held on by 2 screws and looks like a small top hat. The magnet in it is held in place by a single screw in the center. The GE motor the speed sensor is sort of flat and clips in. you just carefully pry around the edges to get it off. The magnet is pressed on and a bit more difficult to change. You have to to gently pry around the outside of the magnet with a small screwdriver to get it off. A lot of the time it will break. If it does just make sure you get all of the pieces out. I found that a paint can opener with the bent tip is the best tool to use to get it off. spray the magnet with wd40 or something similar. wait 10 to 15 minutes and then work the opener around the edge and it will come off eventually. I used a wooden dowel to tap the new magnet back on till flush with the armature. Taking the passenger side back tire off helps getting into the speed sensor. I also removed the inner fender for better access.

Ebay I see they have upped the price since I bought mine. But if you make an offer they may take it.
