ezgo model ? and solenoid amprage
hello all i have a ezgo electric cart with manufacturing code F0997 trying to figure out what year it is to find service info and the serial number is 1023364 also need to know what amp rating the solenoid should be? im pulling my hair out ( what io have left ) any help thanks.

This is the way a cart with that serial number left the factory:
 Make: TXT Type: Electric 36 V Model: TXT Standard (DCS) Year: 1997 The attached manuals should cover that cart. |

what by chance is the amp rating on the solenoid. one i got is 36v 40 amp

That sounds mighty low, the controller puts out either 275A or 300A.
I believe the stock solenoid on a DCS was 80A, but I'd use one in the 200A range. |

hey any one got a install instructions on a 36v 200a ( part number 1142) from nivel catalog. this one has a post. and a ground on little middle post, not sure if i need run a dedicated ground to it? also how to test the resistor diode? and if it is vital for the car to run?

ok figured out the wiring. found reed swith is bad. jumped it and cart moves 1" 2" then motor heats up an dstarts smoking anyone have any experiance. could it be a open in the windings or brush issue?
