Cool thanks for the advise. When I move the shock up and down it has some resistance and stays in place where ever I stop moving. So hopefully I'm good.

that is what mine do. I drove with them unhooked with my new springs and the cart bounced horribly.. hooked them back up, no more bounce. So you are golden...
I didn't have to do anything special to rebolt them up. I actually put new bushings on mine when I reinstalled them. I just jacked the cart up and put jack stands under the axle. Unbolted the top, reinstalled the shock with the new upper bushings. Pulled down on the shock and reinstalled the lower bushings and I was done. Pretty simple and straight forward.
