LEDglow under cart light kit install question
I just received my LEDGLOW million color under cart kit and the install seems simple minus connecting it to the installed 12V converter. I have a 2009 RXV with the 48v to 12v converter installed on it. The converter was installed by the shop when I had the headlight/tail light kit installed. I don't have extra leads off the converter as I had expected there to be, so do I just cut into the leads feeding the lights already installed to power the neon lights? Suggestions? Concerns with doing this?
Thanks all!! |

Re: LEDglow under cart light kit install question
Are you sure the shop didn't install a fuse block somewhere?

Re: LEDglow under cart light kit install question
Then this advise leads to my next question
If I was to go to an auto parts store and buy a fuse block, would I disconnect the head lights and tail lights from the converter, wire the fuse block to the leads coming from the converter and then the lights and the new neon lights to fuses off the block? Thanks again Last edited by dsumner; 09-17-2013 at 02:42 PM.. Reason: mis-spelling |

Re: LEDglow under cart light kit install question
Yes. To simplify installation of these, and possible future loads, get a fuse block that has a negative bus. That way, you can fuse all load positives, and have a common place to land the load negatives. Make sure not to connect negative to the buggy frame.
EDIT: An automotive parts store may not have a fuse block with the negative bus, but any boating store should. |

Re: LEDglow under cart light kit install question
Sir Nuke, what amperage is the reducer and where did you purchase it? I need to install one on my buggie for lights. I'm assuming it is wired to the key switch to turn it off/on, hence the yellow lead.
