I ordered a Freedom Chip for now along with the controller. I installed the controller yesterday. She's running again....YIPPEE.....How do I program the Freedom chip into the system.

The chips are really just jumper wires. There is no programming needed. Just plug and play

It clocked 18 MPH and still pulling. Might switch to the torque setting....just to check it out

There is little, if any, difference in the torque in the four PDS modes.

The difference is speed and whether you have regen braking or not, and how much. (See attached)

The speed sensor on the motor tells the Controller how fast the motor is spinning and the controller limits motor to approximately 3,100RPM, or 3,400RPM, or 4,400RPM depending on the PDS mode it is in.

A PDS controller will not run right without a speed sensor attached, but with an aftermarket controller that doesn't use a speed sensor, the stock motor will spin at about 5,800RPM at 36V, which is about 24MPH on stock height tires.

Thanks for all the info and walking me step by step thru the process. She is back in business and I am ...Fast enough for me.
