Re: Cart #2 build
Here are some pics of the nearly finished product. Took it out for a test drive and ran very slowly. Had plenty of power when you hit the pedal, even chirped the tires on smooth concrete but wouldn't go over about 10 mph. I charged up the batteries last night and will try it out again at lunch. If I am still having problems I'll post all the pertinent data to see if anybody can help.

Re: Cart #2 build
Looks great. Not a criticism, but in my state, in order to be street legal, the original warning label on the dash must be visible.
Mine's not street legal, and I've never had a problem, and most neighborhood buggies aren't, and neither County has ordinances. The state defines a street legal buggy, but it's up to each local jurisdiction to allow them. |

Re: Cart #2 build
Still running very slow, 10 - 11 Mph, after full charge so here's the data:
Series motor, newly rebuilt by Plum Quick Less than one year old batteries, properly maintained. Pack voltage 37.9 Each battery 6.2 400 amp Alltrax controller 4 gauge wires HD solenoid HD reversing contactor Nothing getting hot or even warm for that matter after test run. As I said before it seems to have plenty of power when you hit the pedal but just no speed. Could this be in the plunger adjustment in the ITS? |

Re: Cart #2 build
although Plum Quick rebuilt it.....HOW did they rebuild it? what I mean were they to do the Bandit upgrade? or of their other upgrades, or something custom.....OR were they going to do a stock rebuild......you didn't say.

Re: Cart #2 build
Sorry for the confusion. This is a new build. Nothing like the one in my sig except this controller, solenoid, and reversing contactor did come out of it. As far as the motor rebuild I think it was just a stock rebuild but with the controller, wires, etc I thought I would get around 18 mph???

Re: Cart #2 build
Didn't go to 48 on this one. Is 10 - 11 mph really as fast as this thing should go?

Re: Cart #2 build
it should be a little faster, but that's about it...... I too have a series cart.....which is why when I totally redid my cart.....I went with a completely new high speed motor. and still being at 36v.....I'm at 27 mph.
