Barely Hear Reverse Buzzer
I purchased a one year old RXV to replace my aging Yamaha. The reverse buzzer was a bit too loud so I did what I've always done and put a piece of duct tape across the top of it to quiet it some. That made the buzzer nearly inaudible so after a week I removed the tape but got no increase in volume. Anything I can do besides lay down $40 for a new one? I want to know/hear when I'm in reverse so I'll take the obnoxious too loud over "can't hear it."

Re: Barely Hear Reverse Buzzer
haha normally people want it eliminated! its possible that a wire is loose causing poor electrical try shaking it about a little, also make sure that no junk filled it up. Im sure you could just ask around here for one.. lots of people remove them entirely so they will have some sitting around in a pile.

Re: Barely Hear Reverse Buzzer
Thanks. I fiddled with it a bit and got very little change in volume. Some folks at my club are deaf as a post so I probably need to full volume to keep from backing over them.

Maybe a bit over the top. I don't want to join the walking deaf sooner than necessary. I'm certainly open to any BGW member who wants to off load their buzzer.

Re: Barely Hear Reverse Buzzer
You need to be careful with the RXV beeper because if it isn't right, the cart won't run. You could check to see if something got wedged in there.

Re: Barely Hear Reverse Buzzer
The hole covering the metal buzzer plate is clear but there is no real access beyond that. I may try some compressed air.

Re: Barely Hear Reverse Buzzer
That makes no sense at all. The point is to warn other people, not just the driver. At least that's the way all heavy construction equipment is.

Re: Barely Hear Reverse Buzzer
The buzzer should continue to sound as long as the switch is in reverse regardless of the pedal position.
