Default Resistor cart to electronic swap

I have an 88 marathon EZ Go with the original resistor coil and wiper. I have read and been advised to upgrade to the electronic system. ScottyBs has the complete swap and wondered if others have done this conversion or are there other options to make this upgrade. I know that Buggies unlimited has a controller for this year for half the price but don't know what else is required to get rid of all the stock electrical. Thanks in advance

I have a good friend that did the swap using ScottyB's kit. He did a 48volt upgrade at the same time. He said Scotty was great at helping him and answering all his questions. His cart runs great. Actually runs 27 mph with good torque. He is close to 80 years old and did all the work himself so you guys should have no problem. Even though it is more money, the kit is complete and comes with customer service. I don't think you will get that kind of service at BU.

I would stick with Scottyb. He would be here to help if you had any problems.

go for it, Get the kit from Scotty B . Do the upgrade . Resistor setups waste battery power no doubt. :)

I have a 87 Marthon I converted over. I bought everything from ScottyB. He is the best to work with.

Sorry so long getting back to this post. I am going with Scotty B as it sounds like it's definitely worth the money. Thanks!
