Removed controller but plastic cover doesn't appear to be removeable. Any tricks to getting it off?

what he was referring it was not the controllers housing (cover) but in its stock configuration (from the factory) there was a cover that hid all the wires/cables going to the controller. this is one, but its a sepex drive, so it has the RUN/TOW switch.

Ah, well then I've seen the controller and cables around solenoid and no obvious melting anywhere to be found.

Well, you can look "at the end" of where the power goes to see if in fact power is getting to where it's suppose to be. And that would be the motor. Of course, to do this you must take some precautions so that you don't get hurt in case the cart would "decide" to suddenly run.

Jack up your cart and put the axle on jackstands. Remove the driver's side tire\wheel so you have easy access to the motor. Now, using your Multimeter....and with some help from your wife or a friend, have them place your cart in drive or reverse and put the peddle at about half throttle. Be careful that your clothing doesn't get caught in the hub should the motor engage here. Now, touch the two wires (I'll need someone to chime in here if it's the S1 or S2 or a combo of either) to see if you have power to the motor. If you have no power to the motor, then you can work backwards to see where you issue is. If you have power to the motor, but the motor isn't going....well......you may have found the problem.

Now, I had a problem where I had two wires that came from my controller to my motor and where they "came around" or "wrapped around" the corner of the battery holder, they wore through and shorted out. So, while your cart is on jackstands, check your wire's at that point.

BTW, if you don't have power at that point, you can\should go back to your F\R switch and check it there.

I hope this helps

Dave

Just because the switch and solenoid are clicking doesn't mean they're good.
