Default Lithium conversion source

Is there a consensus on which lithium packs, BMS and charger to use when building lithium system? Have 2013 CC Precedent that needs new batteries and contemplating going to lithium as many others have done.

I'm sure prices will come down one day but not until a different chemistry comes along. And they do occasionally. Then that will be the new rage and lithium will be a second choice.

Also depends on your needs. Lithium will surely charge much faster and give you better performance throughout the charge cycle. But ya sure gotta want it. I remember someone saying something about the price I paid for my limited slip differential and it was worth it to me for the use I intended it for. Just aint for everybody.

When EV was still in business with the lithium packs, they were affordable but since Nick's sickness, there has not been another source that did what he did.

Did EV use the Orion BMS exclusively?

Not sure, by the time my interest peaked with looking into a conversion, he was already sick and was in hiatus. A few of the guys here bought his equipment and should be able to confirm for you.
