2008 Gas Precedent CC hesitates

Hi, this is my first thread in this forum.
My golf cart starts and runs fairly well. At half way, the pedal of the cart starts to hesitate. This happens only when it is not at the top or at the floor. Can someone help me on this?

Have you cleaned the carb lately ?

Also it is good practice to use only fuel that does not have ethanol in it. It cost a little more, but the reduced headaches is worth it.

How long have you had the cart? Is this something recent or has it always done this (assuming you didn’t recently purchase the cart).

I am a tractor restorer and I repair and maintain all my machines by myself.

I have cleaned the carb recently and replaced the fuel pump. Before that, the cart run perfectly well. The cart has a Kawasaki FE 350 engine.

I bought the cart 5 years ago, it was in a fairly bad condition. After making some repair it became a very nice piece of equipment. I use it to play golf.

So to be clear, it ran fine. Then you cleaned the carb and replaced the fuel pump and now it hesitates mid throttle?

Have you tried adjusting the carb? There should be an air mix screw on top of it. I’m guessing you put it back in a different spot than it was when you took it apart.

I think you are right. I will try tomorrow the following. Check at what rpms the cart starts to hesitate. Then I will turn the mix screw CCW as far as it is allowed by the cap and check what happens. I will let you know. Many thanks CP241 and Rick. BTW Rick, we don't have fuel with ethanol here in Chile.

I was wondering at what rpms does the main jet start to provide fuel?
