Default Wtf clutch !!!!!

Just fired up my 420 predator. Primary Clutch moved in as it should then stayed just like this?? No belt on. Never saw this!! Is it defective?

Not defective. Never run a 780 without a belt. You can squeeze it back closed BUT watch where your fingers are when doing so ! They slam back hard ! P.S. I see the yellow springs with the 130 g weights
