Last minute switch to a white body. I think the contrast with all of the white accessories will look better.

Just ordered the 48v lithium battery. I went with the CloudEnergy kit that includes a charger and display screen. I separately ordered the Noco plug deal for the charge port.

I hope to have the cart wired up this weekend and ready for a test later in the week when the battery shows up.

Started running the wiring for the Storm body kit and installed the new fender liners.

The Cloud Energy battery came in (charger and readout display included).
I dropped it in place for a quick test fit. The hold downs push into the case a little bit. I won’t need them, so I will just cut them off.

Pretty excited to get this thing wired up.

Nice project coming together for you! I can't believe you're not upgrading the F/R switch.

Thanks! I have the HD switch from Carts Unlimited, which is supposed to be better than the other HD units out there.
I figure I will run with this and then upgrade to the reversing contactor setup if needed. If what I have works, I will run with it. I don't mind the old school lever style, but I do understand the contactor setup is an upgrade.

I got started on the right foot this evening, but fell a bit short.
I am starting the process of wiring up the cart, but I need a mount for the controller. I fabbed one up out of some 1.25” flat bar. Looks fine with the controller on there. BUT I forgot to test fit with the solenoid on it. It’s too close to the F/R switch.

No worries. Tomorrow I will cut off the upper portion and shift it back to start at the back end of the lower tabs. That will give me the room I need.

Not sure why the pictures rotate when I load from my phone. But if I am going to post fail pictures, they might as well be turned the correct way.

Not sure if I mentioned it at the beginning of the thread, but the factory heatsink crumbled into pieces during disassembly; otherwise, I would have used it. A new heatsink is $150-$250, so no thanks.

With a few days at home during Thanksgiving, I was able to finish up the controller bracket and start the wiring process. I think I have everything wired up correctly, but I am waiting for some verification before I connect it to power. I would hate to come this far and start blowing stuff.

The wiring is all 100% brand new.

I took the day off of work today to be at my daughter's choir concert at school this morning. I used the rest of the day to do some cleanup in the garage and also built a battery hold-down bracket so I don't have to use the ratchet straps.

Once the paint dries, I will attach the weatherstripping to the underside and then I will get it installed.
Pretty happy with how it turned out.

I clearanced around the terminal side so the cables have no chance of contacting the metal.
I also had to offset the rod on that side to clear the battery screen cable port.
