Clubcar Carryall 294 (XRT 1500)

Hello There,

This is my first post in this forum. I have recently brought a Carryall 294 and I have a problem with it I hope someone can help me with.

It is a 2005, Diesel 4x4 version, 1 forward and 1 reverse gear which is selected using an up/down lever. The problem I have is that is keeps jumping out of gear. Mostly when in reverse, but it does it in both.

I have checked the cable from the lever to the gear box and it's OK, no kinks etc. It connects to a small 'lever' on the gear box under the chassis, and when I move this my hand it does seem to go into gear.

Has anyone any idea why it jumps out of gear? Is there anything I can look for?
