Re: 93 Carryall 2. Lifted with steering issues.
Steering fixed! All new bushings did wonders!
Steering wheel is a little off butt I'll worry about that some other time. The lift may be a bit of Hillbilly Engineering but it seems to be safe enough for what I'm using it for. I adjusted the shift linkage and it hits forward gear MUCH better now! Decided I need to see where I'm going in reverse so I ordered another LED light to hook up to the reverse limit switch. I'll do an oil change over the weekend and she SHOULD be ready to go roam the woods next week! Thanks. |

Re: 93 Carryall 2. Lifted with steering issues.
Manatee County but the cart is going back to south Polk County Thursday morning! Near Frostproof.
I have retirement property and I am in the process of clearing it and filling hog wallows. Hence the new "wheelbarrow"! The headlights are going to be nice heading back to my camp in the dark. I couldn't get the back up light to turn on with reverse gear so I just wired it to the headlights so I'll be lighting it up coming and going! I tried Lockman's idle trick but I don't have a black wire to disconnect so THAT didn't work out for me. I am VERY happy that I got the shift issues adjusted out. That makes it a lot easier to work with! The other minor issues are no biggie. Being a garbage man I'm gonna have to get a Mack bull dog for the front and a HEIL garbage truck stickers for the sides! |

Did you crank in the idle adjust screw on the carb? With my carryall, before i swapped in the v twin, i had it pedal start but idling. Shut off the key to kill it.

Re: 93 Carryall 2. Lifted with steering issues.
The idle trick worked but I didn't like it so I idled it back to stock setting.
Here she is all ready to go to work in the woods! She's wearing TWO seat belts! One across the front tires and one across the rear frame. (Precious cargo!) The electrical box and cover didn't make it yet so that will get fixed next trip. I ordered side view mirrors but they didn't make it either. |
