So I spoke with Tom and we are going to go with machining the clutch first. Then lift it with tires and see what that does.

But that brings me to my next question...

Do I have unblot the engine to remove the clutch or is there a way to remove the clutch just as it sits. Doesn't seem to be enough room.

Which clutch? the drive? (engine) or the driven? (rear)
Both will remove without any major tear downs...

Well crap...I'm new to all of this. The drive. That's the one that gets machines right?

They both can get machined!

Machining the drive (engine) clutch will get you a higher top speed,
Machining the driven (rear) clutch will give you more torque at start out...

The drive clutch can be removed easily enough... do you have a drive clutch puller?

Of course not.

But seriously even if I had one how would you get it in there to pull the clutch?

Amazingly enough? It's not a "cramped space" as you'd think!
most carts are golf course carts right? no mods, no lifts... CC designed them for a "somewhat" easy removal.

That being said... if you want to pull your drive clutch, you'll need a drive clutch puller!

Follow up answer... you access the drive clutch from underneath!

Well that makes a little more sense. I mean seriously this has to be the only thing in the world I can't find a video on YouTube about.

How bad is it to remove the rear clutch?

Would it be a good idea to machine both at the same time?

Some really good questions!

There MUST BE at least a few videos on YouTube! (I haven't looked for a while)

Removing the driven clutch on your 95?
If it hasn't been removed since it was originally installed...
You'll most likely have MAJOR problems removing it from the transaxle, so much so... to the point of destroying it!

Machining both of them at the same time...
I had a good talk with Tom about that same exact thing a few years back because I also was considering that!
What I got out of our conversation was... if you do one, you get a lot!
...if you do both, you get "just some" of each!
Sometimes it's best to just pick the one that best suits your needs!

Good info. Not sure if the clutch has ever been removed or not. Probably has. My uncle was meticulous about preventative maintenance. Just never did anything special with it
