unstable cart while driving
Picked up a 2013 Precedent last night. I noticed while driving with the wife the steering is all over the place.
I spoke to a friend and he indicated that this is the norm with carts that are lifted. Is this the case? If not, how do I better stabilize the cart as the wife and kid might be driving it at some point. Any help appreciated!! Stephen |

Re: unstable cart while driving
Any vehicle that is lifted will have some handling issues. Usually just not very responsive steering, or a tendency to wander. Unstable could be a different animal. Make sure all the parts are "seated" correctly, and fasteners are tight.
I doubt it to be the case, since it is a 2013, but your steering box could be worn. Being that new, I highly doubt it to be the case. Does your steering wheel turn at all without the wheels turning? |

Re: unstable cart while driving
Probably the steering alignment is just out of whack, but you could have loose parts in the front if someone didn't tighten everything correctly when the lift was installed.
What kind of lift is on it? If its just a spindle lift the toe angle is easy to adjust and is the most common cause. Does it have a rear seat? Anything heavy on the back? |

Re: unstable cart while driving
Post a picture or two on here of the front end. We'll be able to tell you what you have.
Maybe even a picture of the rear end attaching points to the axle. Might be able to see if something is loose or incorrectly installed. |

Re: unstable cart while driving
Give us a further back view of the front of the cart.
Nothing obvious I see wrong with the rear end attachments. Still good to check that all your fasteners are good and tight. |

Give us a view something like this, you don't have to take the wheels off. This is the front of my cart I am building while installing a 6" lift. This is a double a-arm lift kit, as opposed to a spindle lift |
