Default Two extra batteries

I am running 8 six volt batts on my cc and 2 of them are older and about to take a crap. The idea of replacing those 2 with 8 volters came to mind.My charger kicks off when it reaches 60 volts.Has anyone done this? Will it work? I am hoping for just a little extra. Thanks fellows!

It's not a good idea to mix batteries like that. The internal resistance will be different and can cause issues. If anything buy 2 used 6 volt batteries. Measure the voltage on a used pair and try to match the voltage with the ones you have. (fully charged) This is the best option.

When you say issues do you mean life of the batteries or something more severe?
