Thanks Moon!
Windshield showed up Friday, but work has been a little crazy... So I’ll install after today’s round
Was cleaning a little more & noticed a lot more crap up around the oil filter...
So I lifted up the cart & cleaned under there, unplugged the rev limiter & cleaned some more....
Plugged limiter back in... now no start??
Was running GREAT after the tune (fuel filters were the worst I’d ever seen)
Going to go out & see if she starts this morning before I leave...
If so.. sounds like a coil could be in my future...
But... how my mind works....[emoji16]
Called my upholstery buddy & gave him the seats for a little refresh... since I’ll most likely be waiting on parts anyway[emoji23][emoji23][emoji1787][emoji1787]

And while giving her a bath....
I found my favorite part of this cart!
Cool little tid bit stuck on the rear fender

I would make sure you did not pull something else loose under there.

I will indeed
At this point I’m almost looking for an excuse to pull the body panels off to REALLY kick this little restoration into high gear!
My OCD with these DS carts runs rampant when wrenching on them....
Drove my buddy nuts when I had to rebuild the head on his due to a bent valve!
Although now it’s his pride & joy

....and there probably is some dirt under there you can't get to. (I know, I'm not being much help)

Lol
It doesn’t matter HOW much I clean Ol’ Dirty, it seems there is always more mud tucked away somewhere...
I’ve never seen a cart so dirty!
But she’s in good hands now & will be well treated, & I’m sure without a doubt, she’ll return the favor!

This was a pleasant surprise

Make sure you hold the throttle wide open with your hand while checking compression. 120 is pretty low for a FE290. Should be in the 165-170psi range. I'd adjust the valves also and check it again. When they are on the tight side it can cause compression to become lower as well, easy 10 minute fix fortunately.

Agreed...
I should have mentioned, I haven’t touched the valves yet, & working with a battery that has sat for at least a year!
I expected much less with those parameters
Will test battery today & pull valve cover for more thorough tuning[emoji106]
