Re: Yamaha Gas pauses before taking off
Buzzing sound? Like a wire arching on something maybe? Or more like the reverse buzzer?
I'd start with the two wires that connect to the pedal switch right under the driver's side floor board. Make sure they are properly connected (and clean) and the bullet type connectors insulation isn't damaged and grounding out. If those seem ok, I'd start checking other connections from the pedal switch all the way to the solenoid. |

no it's not a arching sound just a light buzzing or hummmm I guess. I'll check the switch and wiring out.

It may be worn brushes in the starter/generator. Can you jack up the rear end (for safety purposes), pop the seat, and tell where the buzzing is coming from?

buzzing sound is the clutch drum turning when I hit the pedal. don't notice it when it fires up and takes off.
