Default 1998 EZGO TXT 48v Lithium Upgrade Issues

EZGO Electrical Upgrades:
48v lithium battery upgrade from 36v
600 amp Navitas controller with OTF adapter
Replaced original motor with Plumquick Demon motor
Bluetooth speakers
USB 2-charging ports

With my upgrades, I can only drive 3 miles before I completely drain and kill batteries in the evening with lights on. This is with setting 400 amps on controller. No lights on, get about another mile.

Anyone else experience a similar issue? Unfortunately, I’ve had to push my cart home more than once.

Are you sure you're not tripping the battery as opposed to draining it? 3mi is awfully low. But yes, battery specs or make/model would be good.

53V appears to be really low....if that's suppose to be a full charge.

My pack's "full charge" is set at 57V...and that's just a tad under the max charge I can do.

That should give you decent range - certainly more than 20 miles. So something is wrong - maybe they are not getting a decent charge. Consult with the battery manufacturer.

What model Big Battery? We need to know if it's NMC or LiFePO4 to determine if 53.3v is an acceptable settling voltage. LiFePO4 will settle to around 53v at full charge and once the charger is removed, NMC should be higher.

I was told LiFePO4.

Then 53.3v is ok for voltage. You really can't give us a model? We can't check the battery specs without it.
