Club car 272 locker doesnt seem to work

cable is free and lever on transaxle is free put dosent seem to engage pull lever in cab and let go it just goes back to unlock. tapped on it and it seems solid . only has 400 hours on it but i dont think it was engaged much in its life. any opinions or help appreciated . Thanks Woody

I don't know your particular machine, but if you are talking about a differential lock, then generally you have to hold it engaged manually until you are moving again. It's usually to get you out of a sticky situation only, not for permanent engagement. But as I said, I don't know your machine so could be wrong. It might be worth checking in the user manual for how to operate it.

Thanks for the input. It's very possible that you're correct there is a spring on the cable I would think if it was a locking permanent there wouldn't be a spring on it. I buy carts and resell them for profit. A guy did buy this one and I delivered it yesterday
