Re: Looking at purchasing a 09 Gas Yamaha
My '96 G16 was a golf course buggy. The body had some abuse but the dealer was so sure about the running mechanics he gave me a six month warranty. A year and a half later still no problems! Don’t think you can go wrong with a Yamaha and 13 hp is even better.

Re: Looking at purchasing a 09 Gas Yamaha
If its the Drive cart it has a 357cc 12.4HP iirc, it is a new engine. Plowmans had a 15hp kit for it last time I looked. The clutches are different too, but the layout is similar to older carts. Yamaha had a whole page on it and all the improvements the whole cart is new. I don't recall what year the Drive came out without looking.

Re: Looking at purchasing a 09 Gas Yamaha
I've seen and worked on every model Yamaha has produced, G1's thru The Drive. My least favorite was the G14 (for several reasons I won't get into right now), my 2nd least favorite is the 2007 to 2009 Drive. 2009 would stiil have the "major drive train/pedal assy warranty, deppending on the date of registration. If your serius about the purchase, ask for/get the serial number so I can look up the issues the car had, that were fixed. If any of you "heathens", tell Yamaha I said this, I'll tell them Scottyb made me do it My uncle (in Arizona) bought one with out even asking me?....and he's happy with it.

Re: Looking at purchasing a 09 Gas Yamaha
I bought my "07 Drive" about six months back, the wife and I drive it on nearly a daily basis around our town. Being as this is the only cart I have owned I really do not have a strong basis for comparrison to other models, but with that being said it is a blast to ride on. I have a 6" lift, 23" Tires, and a CCP speed spring with the gov adjusted out.

Re: Looking at purchasing a 09 Gas Yamaha
Thanks guys for all the replies. Sure seems that a gas Yamaha is a good cart to purchase. If I purchase it will post pictures and the price I paid for it. Thanks again Frank
