Default CarryAll Suzuki '96 no idle? Only push to go, push to reverse or stalls

Is this a stupid question? I really need an idle while doing chores around the ranch. All this stopping and starting is a bit annoying and I think I am flooding the engine. Am I doing it wrong or is there no idle or neutral?
Also I get a smell of gas...maybe because I am flooding the poor thing?

Not a stupid question if your new to golf carts.
By default, gas carts start with the pedal. You can make it idle, look here,

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...dle-setup.html

There are a lot of folks that would prefer it idles.

What essness said!

As long as your safe about it... it'll work perfect for you!
But, just in case, here's a few precautions:
  • Try not to let it idle "out of sight". (it's a ranch... so that may not happen!)
  • Try not to let it idle for longer then 5 minutes.
  • If you have children or dogs riding with you, turn the key off.
  • and if you use the floorboard for stowing excess materials from one spot to another, again, turn the key off!
(Something may hit the go pedal and it may drive off by itself! that is... until something stops it!)

Otherwise...

Thank you essness and Lockman1 for this information. This will help me more than you know. lots of gates, to open, drive through, close...ugh. The cart has really been a great help with chores on our little ranchette, and this mod will make it even better.
Yes, I am new to cart ownership, you can tell eh? I really appreciate the sharing of information. Husband doesn't do cars, but my neighbor is a mechanic so I think he can do this mod for me.
