As you can tell it still needs more cleaning. I will clean it up more once I get it apart.

Yep that's the pulse line for the stock vacuum fuel pump. Is your cart running an an electric fuel pump?

On mine, that hose you have plugged off would go to the bottom nipple of the fuel pump. That black hose that you have hooked up instead, where does it go?

My cart is all stock and this is the stock configuration (using your pics):

Seems mine goes right in front of the carb

Ok I see where it is, it's still getting a pulse signal from the crankcase just like the stock nipple, it looks like all the previous owner did was add a custom nipple in order to raise the vacuum hose inlet higher on the block, likely to avoid getting oil in it while bouncing around while offroading.

Not a bad idea, actually...

I was out wheeling mine last weekend and right after I drove through a rather large (and unexpected) bump in a creek bed at a relatively high rate of speed, the cart stalled out and didn't want to start up again right away, I wonder if some displaced oil got into that pulse line and had to clear itself out for a few seconds in before firing up again.

Hey Springbok, This picture show's your orange wire disconnected. I found mine the same way and it is hot all the time. Was this wire for a backup buzzer?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the buzzer circuit. I've not traced it or looked into it at all since the cart works fine otherwise. I don't think I'd want the buzzer anyway, it's annoying.

For what it's worth, that orange wire isn't disconnected - the tab broke off the switch. If you look closely - you can see where it 'should' be connected there in the back.

Regardless - It sounds like it's all working as expected.
