91 club car kill switch
I was given a basket case gas club car for a project to fix up as a toy. All the wires were unhooked and some were missing. I found some diagrams on here and got all the wires hooked back up and replaced the missing ones . After replaceing a carb. jet and the govenor bracket I got it running , it runs great ! My problem now is it won't shut off with the key or letting off the pedal. There are two wires that aren't hooked up back by the starter generator. They are both white with a black stripe , they both fasten to the key switch and go to the back . Just can't figure out where they hook to back there . Any input would be appreciated greatly ! Thanks !

Re: 91 club car kill switch
Just crawled under my cart to get a pic. I only see one white wire with the black stripe. If it's not hooked up to the black wire coming from the coil then yep, your engine will not quit easily. When I put on my lift I forgot to re-connect it and had the same problem. There should be a black wire coming out of the coil, and one of those white/black-striped wires needs to be hooked to it. Not sure why you have two unless it's the same wire cut in half maybe?
Here's mine: |
