![]() I have a 1991 Club Car that had the v-glide and resistor coils, 36V. We have the following-
Curtis PMC 1244 controller (400 amp) Cushman PB-6 pot box HD solenoid HD F&R switch I'm stuck on how the pb-6 is wired into the system, we have the location and how to fabricate it to work. I'm also confused on the F1 & F2 connections on the controller. Will I need to wire anything else to the controller except the b+, b-, and m-? Any assistance you can provide would be great. I have searched the wed for diagrams or detailed instructions and have not been able to find any with our set up. Thanks!! |

![]() ![]() This is the electric Yamaha section of the forum, but a mod will more than likely move this thread shortly. The 1244 is a sepex controller; are you using a sepex motor or the original 36v motor? If original motor, you need a series controller. |

![]() No worries, it's easy to do.
![]() Yeah you need a series controller, like a Curtis 1204. Just make sure you get one that has the correct throttle input. I believe your your PB-6 should be 0-5k. Are you going to stay at 36v or go up to 48v? With a stock controller (250-300 amp) you can reuse your original 6 gauge cables, but anything larger will require at least 4 gauge. |

![]() Ok, thank you! The pb 6 is 0-5k. I will look at the 1204, we made larger cables for the battery connections, but we still have the original wires on everything else.

![]() As you probably already know, all of the high amperage cables will need to be upgraded if you end up going with a larger than stock controller, but the battery cables are a great step in the right direction.
The 1204's are good controllers. I rewired my old Harley in my signature a few years back using a 1204 and PB-6. Really a bulletproof system once you get it right. ![]() |

![]() Yes, I think we are going to go with a 400 or 500 amp, we would like more torque out of it. We are going to change out all of the cables to 2 or 4 gauge. The Curtis 1205 has 500 A, do you know if this is a good controller? The solenoid we have is 400 A.

![]() Curtis makes great controllers, you can't go wrong with one. You've also got the Alltrax SR line, which our site sponsors sell. Those can be programmed with free PC software (unlike the Curtis). Your solenoid is big enough to handle either a 400 or 500 amp controller. Have fun and keep us updated.
