I even googled "Computer Slang, NF? and couldn't figure it out.

Then I thought.....Nice Film? But it's a pic....not a movie clip (video). So....that wasn't it. Then I thought Nice Find? But it's not a find....anyone can buy it. Then I thought No F%&$, but that doesn't come up in the 'puter slang dictionary.

Just an update, since my cart is up on jack stands and my nephew (aka Mr. King Procrastinator ) is going to install the new rear brake pads that I purchased last year.

The differential is being installed.....only because I send "The King" at least 4 txt a day asking if I can pick up my cart yet!!!

All oil is out (according to nephew via txt) and unit is ready to go in. Yeah....the easy part. I'm going to try and get some pics before final assembly.

DONE!! And I picked it up.

Here's a pic of the "test" in reverse. Yeah, it's my gravel that I have to re-do so I just did a little "burn" to see if it actually worked in reverse. Test passed!! You may see some "fresh vegetation" from my morning ride thru my woods. Yeah.....I'm gonna like this.

I did not get a chance to take pics of the install before he put it back together.....but these two pics will show....that you just have to believe "it's in there."

I don't have my invoice in front of me, and part of the cost (and not a cheap part!) was the replacement of the spyder gears. The total Plowman cost, including the spyder gears was $590. IIRC the LTD Slip alone was about $200 or a bit more.

As for the performance......it's great!! I have posi traction in both forward AND reverse!! My old unit only gave me posi in forward.

I would highly recommend this unit if anyone is looking for posi traction from their cart.

What was the turnaround time once you sent it to Plowman?

It was pretty fast. I think he had my unit for maybe 4 days before he shipped it back. What he does when he has your unit is he machine's the "flats" (for lack of a better word) where the clutch material contacts the gears. That way the unit has full contact. The units are, I think, drop forged and that process cannot provide a perfect surface for 100% engagement.

Also, he will tell you to use about 4 or 5 cans of brake cleaner and clean all existing oil from your axles, axle housing, and pumpkin. All..and he stress's ALL oil must be removed. Then he provides a synthetic oil for the install. He said the synthetic oil will not cause the clutch material to break down like regular petroleum oils will.

FWIW
