My DS steers fine on gravel and spring mud so far, but then I don't have a backwards seat wired to the back bumper.

I will review it. The cart will be used mainly as a clays cart, and most sporting clays courses are relatively mild in nature. Except for last year's national championship in San Antonio, when they got blasted by the remnants of Hurricane Patricia, and got close to 20" of rain. Don Plowman told me he had a customer call and tell him that the customers posi equipped cart was about the only thing moving through the muck and mud. Don't know if it's true, but it was a nasty event.

Other uses will be taking the family to the beach, and getting close to the surf for some fishing.

I finally bit the bullet and installed the Plowman posi. He has gone up to 300 on the price just so everyone knows. Of course the pins were wore out in my gears so I had to have that also another 250. He did get it back to me quick but charged me a 12 Dollar (convenience) charge to use a credit card. That one pissed me off. When deer season starts I will give it a full review.

Credit card transactions cost merchants real money. Looking forward to your review. I have an Ezgo posi unit sitting on my shelf waiting on a build.

I've only had my Plowman's in for just over a year. I use my cart mostly for hunting the hills 'n mountains of SW Pa.. Now, I am disabled (difficult time walking any distance) so I don't go to places that have a high % of me getting stuck. OTOH, I do have front 'n rear winch's and have used them while out either hunting or fishing. Yeah......it happens.

The Plowman's unit on my EZ-GO Txt has worked great. Now, I have some "mud chunkin" tires on the back as well. Believe me, when you get into a big area of 6" "mud goo" if your tires can't toss out the mud they pick up.......your stuck. Even with posi traction (using marginal tires) your stuck....your just stuck now spinning two tires at once!!

The Plowman's gives me forward and reverse all the time, and I love it. The last thing I want or need is to get stuck.....even with winch's.

Also remember that on a Txt, the "weakest link" in the electric system is the F\R switch. IMHO if you are doing any kind of "tougher" riding, toss that factory F\R and fo-get-'bout a HD F\R. Take the $$$ that you were thinking of buying a HD F\R and buy the Super-Duty Contactor from ScottyB.

It's amazing how much juice the cart will draw when your trying to get un-stuck. (Ask me how I know ) You don't wanna start to smell the "fresh" scent of wire coating burning.

I hope this helps.

BTW.....here's a pic of the mud chunkin tires I have on.

Here’s my review of Plowman’s positive traction. If your a deer hunter I highly recommend it. I went to central Kentucky this week hunting. They have had a lot of rain this year. The Posi preformed flawlessly. I put my cart thru some of the roughest stuff you could imagine last week. Deep mud, water, hill, ditches it don’t matter. I did get stuck but it was in a place I had no business going. The cart bottomed out is the only reason it got stuck. I do have aggressive mud slinging tires but the cart went straight up some of the baddest slickest hills you could imagine. I give it 5*. It’s not 4wd but dang close. It’s pricey but worth it in my opinion.
