Default solenoid wires

I have a 2000 EZGO TXT Series (fleet cart) . I basically bought it for nothing under the presumption I would have to put some work in it. I know nothing of golf carts. With that being said, I have updated suspension, key switch, fuse block, direction controls, gas pedal box assembly, and will be mounting a Lester charger onboard for easy charging access when needed, and batteries.

I have figured out a few things. Only thing I haven't touched is the motor on the axle, controller that is mounted on the voltage regulator and the regulator itself..

The cart will not move, so I am replacing the solenoid when it comes in, just in case.

Here is my ordeal.....
There are 2 wires, coming off of the small terminals on front of the solenoid, Yellow and black if I recall correctly. They are together in a plastic harness, but they go nowhere. I am sure they go somewhere, or maybe they are for a possible option that was offered at the time. They have electrical plugs(typical 1/4" female plug for a 1/4" flat blade terminal like you may use on a trailer light ). Was like this when I got it. I am wondering if maybe this could be my culprit, because the cart wont move.

I am replacing the solenoid just in case, as I am hard of hearing, so listening for a click sometimes can be hard. I know the red wire coming off the directional control block , heading towards the original charger outlet is for a safety switch so you don't drive off while charger is plugged up. I figured that out.

Sorry for the long rant, but I thought I should tell everything I have done first to eliminate some guess work. This cart belonged to an older gent, used to be a beach cart. It was acquired by another fellow through a job. Another reason I am swapping electrical stuff due to salt corrosion/ possible corrosion. New is better . Any tips for direction would help greatly.

This is a 36V system

The Owner, Service and Parts manuals are the top three PDF files on the page linked to.

Thank you. I am studying them now. Think I have figured out what they are, hour meter.

That eases my mind knowing that is not my problem. Now to get the solenoid in and see if it makes a difference. I shall return, I am sure.
