Page 12 of the manual has the pin outs.

If you look through the wiring diagram lots of things need pack voltage to operate. The 48v going to the dash can be for the center of the FnR switch, the key switch source and a meter. Yes you can use a stock FnR switch.

As this has a 1268 controller it is going to be different than a standard ezgo so their wiring diagram really won't help you. I would power everything down and disconnect the 24 pin connector and start ohming out wires to see where they go. If you start guessing you will cook that controller and it is a good one with lots of features. With the 2 different mode you can set one for crawling with torque and the second one for speed, all on the fly..

I’m not guessing- I’m just finding discrepancies in the manuals. For example pin 6 in the manual isn’t used- but mine has something in pin 6, etc.

All of the pins that are supposedly not used are used on mine.

Should I actually start rearranging the pins to match the diagram? It doesn’t look like that’s been messed with but this harness isn’t like the diagrams at all.

For example, the key switch is on pin 12! That’s not even supposed to be used.

Anything I find for the 1268 –5411 is the same as what you posted. What could be the deal with this thing?

You are looking at the socket side of the plug for orientation. Try looking from the back as in the wire side and see where things trace to.

It is still off from the diagrams. This thing is very frustrating!

The gray ones are not supposed to be used

Bob Boyce came over and put his programmer on it. He said for these industrial carts, the controllers were specifically made for them and the wire harness does not match the diagram.

He also showed me that the controller’s ability to operate the solenoid is damaged. I think an XCT is in order.

More specifically, besides the default functions, which are custom defined by Textron... There are options that were configured and defined in VCL that are not documented. The controller is operational, except for the Main Coil Driver (which is shorted), it lacks documentation. Since the Main Coil Driver is bad, it makes more sense to replace the controller with an Alltrax than to try to find a Curtis 1268-XXXX that is mapped out in VCL to be a pin compatible drop-in.

I made it home last night with the RXV chassis and the 2Five that I bought. Photos to come after I recuperate. It was good to meet you LukeL!

I got it running finally. New Alltrax XCT G19 version and interface adapter from Carts Unlimited, and a lot of wire tracing.

Thank you to everyone that helped. KGSC, ScottyB, CGtech, and Bob Boyce, who looked at it in person.
