2009 rxv in limp mode please help
Hey everyone my 09 rxv sat for a while. I put 4 batteries in it drove it around for about 5-10 minutes. With the brake removed(when I got the cart the brake was already removed) Then all of a sudden it went into limp mode.
Crawls forward and reverse less then 1 mph. So with the brake being disconnected what could it be. I’ve heard possible bearing encoder. Which I’m hearing no grinding. Also I’ve heard possibly motor temp switch. Any way to diagnose either issue properly? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't know enough to really help, but have you checked your battery pack voltage? For a fully charged 48 volt pack (which is what I'm guessing your cart has) it should be about 50.93 volts and each battery should be about 12.73.

Re: 2009 rxv in limp mode please help
It is a 48 volt cart. I’m at about 48 volts. Will this thing just stop moving and go into limp mode If the batteries get below 50 volts. Doesn’t seem right to me.

Re: 2009 rxv in limp mode please help
The batteries are miss match batteries that I’ve installed just to verify everything was working before I purchased the batteries that I need.

I don't know how your cart is running period. With no motor brake it shouldn't pass the start up test.
1 mph sounds like it's the bearing encoder but who knows. |

Like I said, I'm no expert, but like Scoots said, your batteries are below 50%. Did you check each battery individually? This could tell you if you have a bad one. I know nothing about the motor brake, but your batteries are definitely an issue.

Less than 1 mile per hour?
Could also be bearing encoder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: 2009 rxv in limp mode please help
Either motor speed encoder value(s) or motor temperature value will initiate this mode...
