Re: Stuck in the mud
Well guys, I'm going to go with plan B. It's way more tire than what I need, but both time and money-wise I can't afford to come up short with not enough tire. Doubtful that it will ever see the links pavement anyway, and I can always bolt on Granny's Buick-treaded wheels if need be. Thanks for the input...

Re: Stuck in the mud
Found @ Wally World, but come from golfcarttiresupply.com~ saved me a healthy C-note!
Slightly less aggressive as well. Now I have to wait~ Santa's sleigh is a brown truck.... Any way to tell w/o disassembly if I have an L/S diff? Last edited by albyneau; 01-15-2019 at 12:10 AM.. Reason: m |

Re: Stuck in the mud
I have a 20 acre farm, I go through mud all the time.
I have never got stuck. I got my tires from Steeleng Golf Cart Accessories. they are Wanda 20x8x10 turf tires. I've been very happy with them. Don |

Re: Stuck in the mud
After passing back through it on the way out, I took it out to the road and drove it at about 25 MPH to sling the mud off of the tires/wheels. It made a mess, which the rain can wash off. Now everything is buried under snow. I have a bit over 12 acres of mountain land here to patrol.

Re: Stuck in the mud
I purchased one of these and keep it hooked up to a hose bib (in a heated garage). Easy to clean the cart off now. Just plug it in....put on the "soap soak" tip, then swap to the pressure tip and all done in less than ten minutes. |

Re: Stuck in the mud
You guys are lucky in CA! Your "mud" must be mostly sand. Those tires wouldn't even climb a wet lawn here.

Re: Stuck in the mud
I've only six acres but they're all mild to moderate sloping hills. Turf treads would just load up like tennis shoes~ and I'd ski all the way to the bottom of somebody else's hill....

Re: Stuck in the mud
You can check to see if you have a posi rear by 1 seeing only one wheel spins in slippery conditions or jack rear of cart up, turn one wheel. If posi both wheels will turn at same time in same and same direction. If non posi either just one wheel will turn or opposite side wheel will rotate in opposite direction.
