Default Calling 36V owners.....

I searched and didn't see a thread so I figured I would start one.

I am curious what everyone's top speed is on their 36V golf cart.

Rules:
Post the simple specs of your cart such as system (series, sepex, etc.. etc..), lifted or not, tire size, electronics upgrades, battery age and finally your average top speed on flat ground (not going down hill).

I'll start-
series, Lifted, 22" tires, alltrax 48500, stock motor, 2 month old batteries.
12.5 MPH on flat ground. :(

It was a build thread with about 6 people who I am pretty sure were blowing smoke talking about their 36v w/ mild upgrades getting 30+ MPH.

I am just curious what people are really getting on average.

There were a few members at the time who responded with their top speed and components used.

I've got a 2000 model TXT PDS with the freedom plug, 2 ga battery cables and I installed a volt meter. Still have the stock controller and motor. Also, I didn't replace the wires from the controller to the motor. They look to be 6 ga and are probably original. Didn't replace them cause they looked like new. The only other thing I've done is put some Ag tires on the back for going through the mud. They are the stock 18" diameter. Oh, forgot to mention, I'm using US 2200 batteries that are just a few months old. Probably been charged 30 to 40times. Running down our deer camp gravel road, the speedometer on my phone was flashing between 16 and 17 mph. It would probably go a little faster on asphalt with street tires.

2002 PDS with 6" lift, stock motor, 500 amp Alltrax controller, 400 amp solenoid, 22" tires, Trojan t105 batteries. It will run 25-26 on flat pavement on a summer day. A similar cart got the same speed, so it would seem that is what you can expect from this setup.

I switched the other cart to 42 volts and an Admiral motor. I think that actually slowed it down just slightly, but I haven't tested with the GPS. But it has much more torque and was a great upgrade.
